View Full Version : No sound Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit

Installed latest version of Aerofly for Linux for x64 on my Asus laptop with a Nvidia GS8600M card running Ubuntu 8.04. Runs ok, except I get no sound. All wave files in the Aerofly sound folder work ok. Checked sound in Aerofly and it is on and at max volume. No error messages. Any idea what the problem is? Also, the 64 bit version is only 1.11.7.9 while the 32 bit version is 1.11.17b1. Any idea why?

Hello Jon,

thank you for your feedback. The 64 bit version isn't really that stable, thats why I didn't update it yet to a more recent version. If I have time, I will take a look into it next week.

I found another issue. Just having any airplane or scenery from add-on 4 in the appropriate folders will crash the 64 bit version of AFPD immediately. Taking them out allows you to select other airplanes or sceneries from add-ons 1 or 2, or third party planes or scenaries. I don't have add-on 3 to try.
