Got it! The easyfly Addon.

Yesterday arrived the easyfly addon CD.
After installation everything seemed to work fine.

The new airplanes now give nearly a full range of model airplanes from a slow flyer up to the F16 jet. Especially the electric gliders are good for beginners (included with and without ailerons).

The Apache comes with real helicopter sound as well as the F16 with a jet sound. This is not realistic for rc models, but you MUST hear this sound.

As it is in Piccofly, now both gamespeed and transmitter sensitivity can be adjusted. The values are to be modified using the keys 1 to 4.
This allows users without computer transmitter to reduce the sensitivity of the transmitter/joystick. My setting is at 90% sensitivity.

2 more sceneries are available by a new icon in the main menu.
Grass is similar to a real model airfield.
Holiday is a really complex island with hotels, beach, a vulcano and of course some airfields.

The sink rate of the gliders seems to be too high. But this could be probably adjusted in the parameters files. I will concentrate on this, but after christmas.

The airfield in the grass scenery is surrounded by a 20 cm high step which causes the planes to crash when they touch it too hard.

The scenery holiday requires a lot of graphics card memory, 32 MB is recommended.
The frame rates on my PII 333, 16 MB Voodoo3, resolution 800x600:
scenery isle (original scenery): 75 fps
scenery grass: 45 fps
scenery holiday: 18 fps

This is obviously caused by the huge amount of polygons, but I still can run the simulator with these 18 fps.


Conclusions:
If you like easyfly (as I do), the addon will open it up for more fun.
From a different point of view, the models are a real good extension of easyfly, the sceneries are not necessarily needed.

Funny for heli pilots.
Scenery grass: when you hover at approximately 10cm towards the
airfield boundary, the landing gear disappears under the grass,
without a crash.
