Hallo zusammen
NIX null Erregung.
Danke für Eure Antworten
Gruß
Jürgen
How were you able to get it to work ? I've got a USB adapter and a colored mini cable that plugs into it and a long black cable that plugs into the colored mini cable then into the back of the DX6i. However the long cable also plug directly into the USB adapter without the mini colored cable. I've tried all combinations and the MAC will not see my DX6i. Please help, I'd love to fly some RC !!
Thanks - DCA

DCA,
please excuse my ignorance, but:
is this really an IPACS - AFPD dongle? If yes the shape has changed.
Kind regards and a happy new year from Switzerland

Hello:
I purchased the following a few months ago: AeroFly Professional Deluxe Version and am running V1.11.07.29.
I am running this on my Mackbook Pro with 10.6.5 version of Snow Leopard. It has a 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.
It works, however, so far I have not found a way or clear instructions on how to engage the switches on the transmitter that came in the package. I fly helicopters exclusively and wish to have the typical 3D setup that would mirror my Spectrum DX6i transmitter. Can you help or point me to the step-by-step instructions I seem to be missing. Thanks for any help.
First, are there ANY US users of AFPD for Mac?
I may have purchased in haste. Any ideas what would be a good transmitter to use with AFPD for Mac. It recognizes the dongle, but NOT the radio (Walkera WK-2402 Transmitter). Is there a workaround? I also have an E-Sky 905A USB Transmitter Simulator, and it doesn't see that either.
Any ideas?
I was thinking of buying a Spektrum DX6i just to be able to use the simulator, even though it won't be the radio I'd be flying the copter with.
If I wanted to use the gameport option on the MAC is that even possible?
The Mac version looks like a hasty Windows port and there's not much support material in terms of what will and won't work. The error messages EVEN say to check the Windows Control panel when it doesn't see a USB controller. I don't know how they can say it's a NATIVE MAC version when it's asking the user to check the Windows Control Panel. The manual has NO Mac info in it at all.
UGH.....
HELP!
Its best to contact the IKARUS Support, they are the manufacturers of the USB Interface and can tell you exactly what radios are supported. Its usually only a matter of using the proper adapter. The Spectrum DX6i is definetly compatible with AFPD but requires a special adapter. However the Walkera transmitter won't work, as far as we know. Again, please contact IKARUS for further details. The support website is located at

The Mac version of AFPD is not a hasty port. The simulation itself runs very stable on Mac OS X, but you are of course correct, the message when no radio is found is misleading.
I contacted them IKARUS Support on 01/27/11 and haven't heard back from them.
I didn't mean to be rude with the "hasty port" comment, but you have to admit, there is nothing in the documentation that even helps you troubleshoot a problem on a Mac.
And while it does run stably on the Mac it's a little disconcerting (especially for an EXPENSIVE PIECE OF SOFTWARE) to get Windows error messages. Not to mention with the adaptors that are included, there isn't much (if anything at all) that tells you how to configure them.
I hate to be negative, but when I spend this much on software I expect the proper documentation, and at least have the error messages refer to the OS that the software was sold for. It just cheapens the experience.
