    Default AFPD won't recognize the Futaba 7C

    Have had AFPD on my last three computers with no problems, buy a new Dell with the best of everything and running WINDOWS 7, now it say's unable to find the transmitter. Also tried two other types of radio's with the same result. I cant understand why there isn't some sort of patch to repair these issues or at list an answer that makes sense, seems like you get beat around the bush with no resolve. If the sim worked on ALL the older computers why not now and why hasn't the software been updated or whatever to work on newer computers. Oh, also I have the pheonix, ********** and microsoft flight simulators loaded and all work perfectly, what's the problem with aerofly all of a sudden.
    After reading other forums that have the same issues it appears theres many out there with the same problems and no apparent fix. And to clarify I purchased the new platinum edition to install on my computer. Very disappointed, used the older one for years, now nothing. Guess I'll have to try and return it because I don't see a fix without maybe paying a expensive phone bill which I refuse to do.

    some more details are required to help you. You hardly said anything. Have a look at the top posting in this forum for the kind of details we need. The most important thing would be the tm.log file as well as details regarding your AFPD version.

    Hello,

    thank you for the information. According to this, the USB interface itself seems fine and the rest looks ok as well.

    So the only thing left is the connection from the AeroFly USB interface to your radio.

    Did the same radio work, before you got a new computer? If yes, probably the adapter or USB interface are broken in this case?

    Check if the USB Interface in conjunction with your radio is working as a normal joystick inside Windows.

    Please tell me exactly how the USB interface itself looks and what kind of adapter you are using.

    Yes, the radio worked fine before my new computer and still does with all the other simulators I have

    Does not seem to work as a normal joy stick in windows

    Not sure what you mean about the way the USB looks (small black rectangular box appr 1 by 2.5 in.) with a small interface adapter as well. The usb has a slight burnt smell to it ??

    Had the interface and cables replaced and it whats fine, thank you. The only other problem I have is it asked for the product code which I typed in but it said it already exsisted and would not except it. All the models and scenery from the add on's are not highlighted so you cant chose them and thats when it asks for the product code that it wont take.

    Obviously IKARUS has a problem with the product code from time to time.
    I had exactly the same problem (with the code, not the cable) with a brand new AF 5.
    Insist to have it corrected. Preferably by phone as email service is not the best.

    Anyway of being instructed on fixing the problem threw email, i am not sure who to call or if they would call me.
    Would removing and re-installing the software fix the problem?

    Unfortunately not.
    The problem is in the IKARUS database.
