    Lightbulb Modeling tools Turorials/Instructions

    Firstly hi to everyone here

Ok i have upgraded my afpd to 5.5. i created my Precision Aerobatics (Electric Shock) Plane back in 2007 on ********** 3.5.

I am now looking to convert this model into AF5.5, i have downloaded the tools but i cannot find any english instructions/tutorials on what steps i need to take to do this.

Any help would be much appreciated as i really want my ES flying again

    Grale

P.S i have my model currently in 3DSmax

In the download section on www.aerofly.com we offer developer tools for creating your own models. It also includes a workshop with detailed instructions, its currently only in german. We will soon start translating it, but it will take some more time. Anyway, go ahead and download the tools, it features an easy to understand tutorial as well.

We currently offer support for Metasequoia and AC3D when it comes to 3D model export. If you convert from 3DSMax to Wavefront OBJ and import it to AC3D or Metasequoia you can export using those tools. Maybe you can post pictures of your model here? What 3DS Max version are you using?

Thanks for the quick reply. could you possibly give a estimated time when the detailed instructions will be translated?. but i will take another look and see if i can understand them better, and possibly try an online translation.

I have the latest 3dSMax 2011 but i will export and start experimenting with AC3D!!

This is the model for the OTHER sim that i no longer own

    Hi Grale.

Yes you are very patient. Do you mean the file 'Anleitung zur Parametrisierung von Flugmodellen für AeroFly5.pdf'?

    @All:
Is the author Andreas Preissler actually an employee of Ipacs? Are there any legal problems with translating it?
I don't know if I've the ability to translate it right and if my english will be good enough. And I also think, that Mr. Preissler spent a lot of time and patience to write it down and if he'll accept any bad translation of his good work.

    Regards
    Georg

    Hello there,
we actually had the translation ready for a few month, but we are not too happy with the translational quality. Anyway, our latest version is appended to this posting, we hope this helps.

If somebody is willing to fly over the manual and likes to do some corrections, we would be more than happy to provide the original word document.
