    Default Disappointed

I received Aerofly Pro Deluxe for my birthday several days ago. I use it on a 13" Mac Book running Mac OS X 10.7.2. After using it these past days, I have two major complaints:
    1. It crashes a lot. For example, click on Fly or Edit without an aircraft selected. Or, load the A10, click on Fly and then press F2. There have been numerous other crashes but I don't remember the circumstances enough to reproduce them.
    3. None of the models provided come close to what I have - a Blade sr120 and a Blade CX3. I have been unable to find anything suitable on the web. I have tried to modify an existing model but the program won't let me make any significant changes to any of the parameters.

I found the setup for my DX6i difficult because of my lack of experience and the lack of documentation. I was also disappointed to learn about Aerofly 5 after my wife bought AFPD and I can't see any reason to spend $139 on an upgrade considering the problems I have encountered and what AFPD cost.

    Hi Jim,

    1. Did you check the rc-sim forum? It has a huge database for AFPD aircrafts and helicopters. http://www.rc-sim.de/wbb3/index.php?page=Database&c=54

    2. The Aerofly 5 is a different program. It is much more stable and has only few bugs left. The programm is nearly uncrashable... (if you installed the newest drivers, updates and patches)
You may return the AFPD if possible and buy the aerofly 5 if you want a new product that runs properly.

But in Af5 you don't have a blade sr120 or CX3 either. It has lots of other helis e.g. a blade 400 and lots trex-es and also some smaller helicopters.

    Greetings

    Default Thanks

Thanks for the help. The rc-sim site looks good. I have been using regroups. There was nothing available thru rc-sim that was any better than the viper90 model I have been using.

Going to AF5 doesn't seem like a good bet for me. It has a lot of features that I probably wouldn't use for years and I have learned how to avoid the crashes with AFPD.
